Founded from a joint venture between Socer Portugal, a company with long world tradition in Terpene products in Europe, and the Resinas Brasil Group, the largest Brazilian Gum Rosin and Turpentine producer, Socer Brasil started to operate in 1996, after having acquired  the industrial terpene products unit from Eucatex, located in Salto city, one of the most industrialized area of São Paulo State’s countryside.

Starting from a defined strategic plan, Socer has continually invested in its facilities to meet the standard levels required by the market.  Socer was the first company within its segment to obtain the ISO 9001 certification, as well as the RvA certification by DNV, which granted international acknowledgment to its Quality System.  Socer is also the sole company in Brazil, which is certified to manufacture Kosher products intended for the food industry.

In 2007,  Socer was integrally taken over by the Group Resinas Brasil.  As a result of this acquisition Resinas Brasil Group became the largest Latin American Terpene products producer and exporter, being present in more than 45 countries.
