Since its creation, Socer tries to improve its relationship with the town of Salto, mainly with the communities surrounding the factory, where most of our employees live.

Our commitment to the community is reflected on our Occupational Health, Security and Environmental policy which is conducted by board of directors.

Several actions have been taken and supported by Socer aiming at social inclusion and development of our region:

• Cycles of lectures concerning health and security to all the community during the internal week for prevention of accidents.

• Support to the program “Casa do Amanhã de Salto” which promotes the development of young workers, helping these young professionals get into the job market.

• Support to City Hall and Department of Public Security in the campaigns against drugs, with distribution of material defrayed by the company. Financial support and effective participation through donations to Casa de Belém, a charity in Salto.

• Participation in volunteer programs dedicated to economically deprived communities in the region.
